The Sundarbans Documentary
A film on the livelyhood of the people of the Sundarbans and Wild Honey Collection from the largest contiguous mangrove forest of the world.
Sundarban, a wondrous creation of nature, is the largest delta in the world. Soil salinity, natural calamities, the inadequacy of cultivable land plague their economic of the region. To survive, the people are forced to encroach upon the forest to collect honey. This film screens their jouney fighting against multiple adversaries and how they are being educated, trained and technically supported with scientific knowledge and equipment.
Behind the scenes
This project involved the largest crew, engagement of associates and local people that has ever happened in the history of our organization. There were all kinds of emotions flowing: excitement, anxiety, fear, passion and most importantly, the satisfaction of working on this project.
