Shooting in the mangrove forests of Sundarbans presented formidable challenges, with our team navigating both on boats and on foot through the dense jungle. Each year, 80 to 90 honey collectors fall victim to the tigers and crocodiles that inhabit the mangroves, yet their determination to venture deep into the wilderness in search of wild honey remains unwavering. During and after the pandemic, our team accompanied these brave honey collectors, documenting their arduous journey to collect the prized wild honey. This experience not only highlighted the dangers they face but also their incredible resilience and dedication to preserving this traditional practice.

Shooting in the Sundarbans came with its own set of formidable challenges. The unpredictable weather, heavy rains, frequent cyclones, and remote islands made the filming process incredibly difficult. However, we persevered and succeeded in capturing the essence of this unique region. Through our efforts, we documented the daily lives of the people of Sundarbans and their struggles. Their resilience and determination shone through, despite the harsh conditions they faced. This journey allowed us to bring their stories to light, highlighting their strength and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.

It took us over a year and a half to visit the sites at different times of the year, capturing the essence of each season and its impact on the landscapes and people. The extensive fieldwork allowed us to gather diverse and rich footage that truly reflects the dynamic nature of the region. As usual, the post-production was meticulously carried out in our studios, where our team of experts edited and refined the content to perfection. The dedication and effort put into this project are evident in the final product, which showcases the beauty and challenges of the locations we visited.
